Stuck On You

Image
Lately I've noticed my world's upside down And everything's coming unglued Like crossing the dateline I'm all turned round And just don't know what to do All day long I keep neglecting Things I have to do That people are expecting What does it matter How can I work feeling blue I'm stuck on you Can't read the news That's too depressing I know this world's a mess 'Cause all my clothes need pressing Everything's scattered Baby I'm stuck on you Deeper and deeper I go Spinning around like a fool Drowning in love's undertow And there's nothing that I can do Night after night I'm convalescing I used to have a social life But now it's not worth mentioning Just a bit tattered Baby I'm stuck on you Only the stars in the sky Know why I'm feeling so blue Maybe the moon has advice That can get you to love me too The city lights peer through my curtain And so I'll face another night Of counting sheep for certain Tossing and...

The United Nations has NEVER achieved a lasting peace in any region of the world.

Image
The U.N. has been in existence for 78 years, as of today, October 18, 2023. The U.N. is funded by its member states. The amount each country pays is determined by a complex formula that takes into account the country's economic wealth and population. The total U.N. budget for 2023 is $3.4 billion. The lion share comes from the U.S. The United Nations has NEVER achieved a lasting peace in any region of the world. The UN has been involved in a number of peacekeeping operations around the world, and these operations have resulted in the deaths of UN peacekeepers and civilians.  For example, in 1994, over 800,000 people were killed in the Rwandan genocide, and the UN peacekeeping force failed to prevent the massacre. Even in cases where the UN has been successful in ending conflicts and promoting peace, there has often been a loss of innocent lives.  For example, the UN helped to end the civil war in Cambodia in the 1990s, but over 2 million people had already been killed in ...

There is a growing body of evidence to support the link between devices and myopia in children

Image
Myopia on the rise: The link between devices and eye strain in children Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a common eye condition that makes it difficult to see distant objects clearly. Myopia is becoming increasingly common, especially in children. Studies show that the prevalence of myopia has doubled in the past 50 years, and it is now estimated to affect over 2 billion people worldwide. There are a number of factors that contribute to the development of myopia, including genetics, environment, and lifestyle. However, research suggests that the increased use of digital devices is a major risk factor for myopia in children. When we look at a screen, our eyes have to focus on a close object for a long period of time. This can cause eye strain and lead to changes in the shape of the eyeball. Over time, these changes can lead to myopia. There is a growing body of evidence to support the link between devices and myopia in children. For example, a recent study found that children who spend mo...

In recent ads Pete Davidson promotes Smartwater Alkaline However, there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that alkaline water is better for your health and energy than regular drinking water.

Image
Alkaline water has a higher pH level than regular water, but your body is very good at regulating its own pH levels. Even if you drink alkaline water, your stomach acid will quickly neutralize it to a pH of around 2.0. Some people claim that alkaline water can help to improve digestion, reduce bone loss, and even prevent diseases such as cancer and heart disease. However, there is no evidence to support these claims. In fact, drinking too much alkaline water can actually be harmful, as it can upset the balance of your body's natural pH levels. The Mayo Clinic states that "for most people, alkaline water is not better than plain water." They also note that "bottled water sold as alkaline water, which is regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, might have nutrients added to it to achieve an alkaline pH." If you are looking for a way to improve your health and energy, it is better to focus on eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and getting enoug...

It has been incorrectly reported (often) by the news media and the U.N. that Gaza has the highest population density per square mile in the world

Image
However, this is  Disinformation. Manila , the capital of the Philippines, has the highest population density per square mile in the world. As of 2023, it has a population density of 119,600 people per square mile. Gaza has a 139 square mile area  a nd a population of 2 million which comes to 14,388 per square mile. Other cities with very high population densities include Dhaka, Bangladesh; Levallois-Perret, France; and Kolkata, India.  These cities all have populations of over 1 million people and population densities of over 66,000 people per square mile. The media and U.N. have access to these numbers  So why are they spreading  disinformation?
