Unfortunately, there is a significant shortage of organs available for transplantation, and the waiting list for a kidney transplant exceeds over 90,000 individuals. Each day, there is an additional need for more than 12 kidneys, yet only about 6,000 kidneys become available for transplantation from various sources, including cadavers who meet medical qualifications for kidney donation. This leaves many individuals waiting years for a transplant, with some ultimately dying before receiving the help they need.
