It has been incorrectly reported (often) by the news media and the U.N. that Gaza has the highest population density per square mile in the world

However, this is
 Disinformation.

Manila, the capital of the Philippines, has the highest population density per square mile in the world. As of 2023, it has a population density of 119,600 people per square mile.

Gaza has a 139 square mile area and a population of 2 million which comes to 14,388 per square mile.

Other cities with very high population densities include Dhaka, Bangladesh; Levallois-Perret, France; and Kolkata, India.

These cities all have populations of over 1 million people and population densities of over 66,000 people per square mile.

The population density of New York City is 29,302.66 people per square mile. This makes it the most densely populated major city in the United States.

The media and U.N. have access to these numbers

So why are they spreading

disinformation?
